Warm welcome to the Beltrao Group
The Beltrao Group has officially joined IMSB as of January 2022.
We are very excited that Pedro Beltrao joined IMSB as Professor for Computational Systems Biology. During the last 9 years, Pedro and his team worked on the consequences of genetic variation on evolution & disease at the EMBL-EBI in Hinxton. Three members (postdocs) of his group moved with him to Switzerland: Cristina Viéitez, Miguel Correa and Jürgen Jänes. Emmanuel Matabaro joined the Beltrao and Sauer groups as Lab Manager after the successful completion of his PhD in the Künzler lab at the ETH Institute of Microbiology.
