Dr. Mario Correia
Experimental Biologist, Mass Spectrometry Expert
Mario joined the Sauer/Zamboni labs in April 2022 to develop projects with a focus on method development for liquid-chromatography mass spectrometry and molecular ID using advanced fragmentation tools. Other interests are in the study of human microbiome interactions by exploring bacterial complex systems with metabolomics analysis.
During his PhD he developed new chemical biological tools adapted for selective metabolomics analysis. These tools were targeted for Phase II metabolism from human samples, and specifically for the interaction between the microbiota and the human host.
